ULA Circuit 68L ULA Circuit is a modern classic of lightweight backpacking—now more versatile, more durable, and more refined than ever. Designed for hikers whose gear lists and objectives change from trip to trip, the Circuit is built to carry everything you need efficiently, without sacrificing comfort or usable volume. In the latest version, the traditional mesh front pocket has been replaced with highly abrasion-resistant UltraStretch™ fabric. Ice axe and trekking pole loops now come standard, and low-profile attachment points have been added to the top and bottom of the pack for removable accessory straps. These allow you to secure extra gear such as a tent or sleeping pad when needed, without cluttering the pack when you don’t. Weighing just over one kilogram, the Circuit carries loads of up to 16 kg with impressive stability and comfort. It is an excellent choice for hikers whose total pack weight stays under roughly 14–16 kg and who want to move freely over long distances. The suspension system combines an internal carbon fiber and Delrin frame, dense foam structure, and a single aluminum stay. This setup provides solid back support, effective weight transfer to the hips, and enough stiffness for heavier loads while still allowing natural movement on the trail. UltraStretch™ is a four-way stretch technical mesh made from Nylon 6-6, Lycra®, and Ultra-PE fibers, finished with a PFAS-free DWR treatment. The Circuit is available with two shoulder strap styles. Choose based on the shape of your shoulders: look in a mirror and check how much your shoulders slope downward. J-straps are the traditional straight straps with a gentle J-shaped curve. They are best suited for flat or square shoulders, where the flat strap gets better surface contact and rubs less. J-straps distribute weight evenly across the shoulders and chest, and are a good choice for most male hikers and for hikers with a slimmer torso. S-straps have a more pronounced curve that follows the contours of the chest and shoulders. They are best suited for standard, sloping or narrow shoulders, as the contoured shape hugs the slope of the shoulder better. S-straps were originally designed for female hikers to accommodate the bust and stay out of the way while hiking. They suit many women, as well as men with a larger chest and sloping shoulders. Measuring torso length Stand upright and tilt your chin slightly toward your chest. Locate the C7 vertebra, the prominent bone at the base of your neck. Using a flexible tape, measure along the natural curve of your spine from the C7 vertebra down to the top of your hip bone (iliac crest). This measurement is your torso length. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size. Men Pant waist size + 5 cm. Women Curvier hips: narrowest part of the waist + 13 cm. Straighter body shape: narrowest part of the waist + 8 cm. Hipbelt size chart XXS: 46–66 cm XS: 66–76 cm S: 76–86 cm M: 86–97 cm L: 97–107 cm XL: 107–119 cm XXL: 119 cm and up Tip: If your measurement falls at the upper limit of a size, choose the larger size. For example, 97 cm sits at the top of Medium and the bottom of Large, so Large is the better choice.
