Simond MT100 Down Jacket The Simond MT100 is a lightweight, highly packable men’s down jacket designed for hiking, trekking, and year-round outdoor use. It delivers reliable warmth without unnecessary weight, making it an ideal layer for everything from mountain adventures to everyday outdoor activities. The insulation consists of 700 fill power down made from 90% recycled duck down and 10% recycled feathers. This combination provides excellent thermal efficiency by trapping air effectively, while keeping the jacket exceptionally light and easy to compress. In size L, the jacket weighs only around 280 grams, so it fits effortlessly into a backpack or even the bottom of a daypack. Designed as a versatile mid-layer or rest-break jacket, the MT100 performs well in cold conditions during stops, and can also be worn during active movement in winter weather. Its high fill power ensures strong insulation relative to its weight, helping maintain comfort when temperatures drop. The outer fabric is treated with a PFC-free water-repellent finish, offering protection against light moisture and drizzle. While not intended for heavy rain, it helps the jacket maintain performance in variable outdoor conditions. When not in use, the jacket packs down quickly into its own zippered pocket, making it a convenient spare layer for travel and expeditions. Constructed from durable yet lightweight 15 denier polyamide fabric, the jacket balances strength and minimal weight. Two zippered hand pockets provide secure and easily accessible storage for small essentials.
