Pa’lante Desert Pack w/ Joey Straps 17″ The Pa’lante Desert Pack w/ Joey Straps is Pa’lante’s largest hiking pack with running-vest-style shoulder straps. It is made for the long-distance hiker who carries several days of food and three-season gear, but wants bottles and snacks on the chest and doesn’t want to take the pack off during the day. The body is the same as the Desert Pack: the adjustable side pockets are the roomiest of any Pa’lante pack and easily fit two water bottles, Pa’lante’s signature bottom pocket is reachable with the pack on, and the front pocket has a dedicated stake sleeve. The hipbelt can be stashed when not needed. The Joey straps are made from double-layer 3D mesh, and their mesh pockets fit soft flasks, a phone and small items. There are two sternum straps, and the upper one is height-adjustable.
