The Nuuksio Lake Plateau is a uniquely beautiful landscape where steep forested hills alternate with small lakes and ponds, creating one of Southern Finland’s most diverse natural areas. The Nuuksio–Luukki hiking map covers not only Nuuksio National Park but also a wide range of surrounding outdoor recreation areas, including Luukki, Salmi, Vaakkoi, Pirttimäki, Oittaa, Kattilajärvi, and Karjakaivo. With a highly detailed scale of 1:15,000 (1 cm on the map equals 150 m in the terrain), the map provides precise and reliable information for hikers, trail runners, and nature lovers exploring the region. It is based on topographic data from the National Land Survey of Finland, enhanced with clear markings of trails, rest areas, and service points. Printed on lightweight, waterproof Tyvek material, the map is built to last. It resists tearing and wear, withstands repeated folding, and dries quickly after getting wet—ideal for all-weather use. Originally published by Karttakeskus, this updated 2025 edition includes the latest verified trail and outdoor information, making it an essential companion for discovering the lakes, ridges, and forests of the Nuuksio uplands.
